Cosy Cottage

Cosy Cottage is a traditional period stone cottage on a small side road in the heart of Youlgrave.  There's a cosy lounge in which to relax at the end of the day.  You can nestle down on the comfortable sofa, warm yourself in front of the log burning stove and watch your favourite movie on the Smart T.V.   

On sunny days you can relax in the enclosed garden and maybe eat al fresco on the patio furniture. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - a double/twin and a bunk bedded room.  There's a family bathroom with bath and shower over.   Free on-street parking is available on Moor Lane, the main road and surrounding streets.

Staying inYoulgrave

Youlgrave is a beautiful Peak District village, perfectly placed between Bakewell and Matlock and surrounded by some of Derbyshire's loveliest countryside.

One of the joys of staying here is being able to leave the car behind. There are wonderful walks straight from the village, including riverside walks through Bradford Dale, while the Limestone Way passes right through Youlgrave.

Despite its peaceful village setting, there's plenty on your doorstep, with three pubs, three cafés, two village shops and La Fontana, an Italian Bistro (open Fridays and Saturdays)– all within walking distance of Cosy Cottage.

You can also explore further afield by bus. The 172 runs from Youlgrave to Bakewell, where you can connect with services including the 218 to Chatsworth House, making it possible to enjoy some of the Peak District's best-known attractions without taking the car.

Whether you're heading out for a day in the hills, stopping for a pub lunch or simply enjoying a wander around the village, Youlgrave makes a wonderful base for exploring the Peak District.

Exploring the Peak District from Youlgrave

Cosy Cottage is ideally placed for exploring the Peak District, with some of Derbyshire's best-loved towns, villages and attractions within easy reach.

Bakewell, famous for its puddings, independent shops and riverside walks, is just a short journey away. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are also nearby, while Matlock Bath, with its riverside setting, cable cars and attractions, makes a great day out.

For walkers, you'll be spoilt for choice, with beautiful dales, picturesque villages and miles of footpaths to discover. And after a day exploring, you can return to peaceful Youlgrave and relax at Cosy Cottage.
